A new donation center will be opening soon in East Montreal!

Renaissance is delighted to announce the opening of its new donation center on September 18 at the Maurice-Duplessis Impact Center, located at 10,600 Maurice-Duplessis Boulevard in Rivière-des-Prairies–Pointe-aux-Trembles.

With an investment of more than 45 million dollars and a surface area of 160,000 square feet—the equivalent of three football fields—this landmark project represents a major milestone in Renaissance’s commitment to building a more sustainable and inclusive society.

Designed as a true hub of services for the community, the center will soon bring together under one roof:

  • a distribution center
  • a Kilo store
  • a donation center (opening September 18)
  • a Renaissance Employment Assistance Center (CAER)
  • a thrift store
  • a space dedicated to textile research and development

Information regarding the opening dates of the various services will be communicated shortly.

“This center is much more than a real estate project: it embodies our vision of building a sustainable, dynamic, and prosperous economic hub for East Montreal,” says Éric St-Arnaud, Executive Director of Renaissance Québec. “By creating a new hub for the social and circular economy through social and professional integration, the collection, and the reuse of residual materials, we are offering concrete and sustainable solutions for the community under one roof.”

In practical terms, the Maurice-Duplessis Impact Center will make it possible each year to:

  • Create 150 permanent jobs and support nearly 200 people in their return to work through Renaissance’s employability programs.

  • Divert 1,800 tons of reusable goods from landfills, contributing to the provincial ambition of reaching 50,000 tons collected by 2030.

  • Strengthen the local social and economic fabric by creating a hub for social and environmental innovation in East Montreal.

As a pilot project on a provincial scale, the Maurice-Duplessis Impact Center embodies a unique synergy between social innovation and environmental efficiency. It paves the way for other similar initiatives, confirming Renaissance’s position as a leader in the circular and social economy in Quebec.

An invitation to the community
Renaissance Québec invites all citizens, partners, and community organizations to come discover this new space designed for and with the community. More than just a place of consumption or services, the Maurice-Duplessis Impact Center aims to be a place of encounters, exchanges, and positive transformation, where every action—donating, buying, getting involved—contributes to building a more inclusive and sustainable future.
