In 1984, Moisson Montréal started collecting food and essential product donations on the island of Montréal. In addition, they offered free delivery to community organizations. The organization has continued their excellent work and are today Canada’s largest food bank!
Over the years, Moisson Montréal and Renaissance have developed a strong partnership. They work together to offer emergency food assistance to participants in Renaissance’s integration program. Participants are required to take the 26-week program at a turning point in their lives, and food security is provided until their neighbourhood organizations can take over. Moisson Montréal and Renaissance have been collaborating for nearly 15 years, helping participants in the integration program to achieve success in their training.
During the fiscal year of 2020-2021, the COVID crisis made it even more crucial to support the most disadvantaged members of our society. Moisson Montréal made it possible for Renaissance to redistribute more than 355 kilograms of non-perishable foods for a value of $2,053.25.
We send a big thank you to Moisson Montréal for contributing so much to our participants’ success!
