Fifty new permanent jobs
Renaissance is opening its 18th thrift store in March 2023 at the Galeries Mille-Îles in Rosemère and we’re proud to be supporting the local economy in the Lower Laurentians by creating 50 new permanent jobs. We want to build a strong and engaged team of employees. Renaissance is a Quebec non-profit organization founded in 1994 that pursues twin social and environmental missions. If you’d like to do rewarding work and help us achieve our missions, apply today to join our community of 1,400+ employees.
The Lower Laurentians and Au Grenier Populaire: two natural choices
Renaissance has a longstanding partnership with Au Grenier Populaire, a non-profit organization that has been active in the Lower Laurentians for more than 35 years. We share common goals: provide support and training to help people enter the job market and offer our diverse customers second-hand goods at affordable prices.
“Together, we can provide the public in the Lower Laurentians with better access to services,” said Geneviève Ethier, executive director of Au Grenier Populaire. “The new Renaissance store in Rosemère will offer our trainees additional job opportunities.”
“As well, Renaissance’s Employment Resource Centre will provide employers and job seekers in the Lower Laurentians with a complete hiring ecosystem,” added Éric St-Arnaud, CEO of Renaissance.
The new Renaissance thrift store and donation centre in Rosemère will divert thousands of tons of goods from landfill and put them in the hands of people who can put them to good use. Rosemère was a logical choice for the site of Renaissance’s second location outside the Greater Montreal area and a natural next step in its growth: “Rosemère has long been an environmental leader, so it’s a glowing opportunity for us to pursue our mission,” said Mr. St-Arnaud. “The town’s economic vitality and determination to be a model of green development are qualities that speak to us.”
