160,395 is the number of donors welcomed in our donation centres during our 6-week fall donation campaign. It equals to a total of 1,091,309 kilograms diverted from landfills!

This is a new record in the history of Renaissance. Each of these donations is a hope, a chance to do good in the lives of the hundreds of people we help each year return to the workforce.

Renaissance has always lived thanks to the generosity of the citizens of the Greater Montreal. Your donations change lives.

From September 28 to November 8, 2020, Renaissance will be holding its big fall donation campaign! This annual event encourages the population to responsibly dispose of items they no longer need and that could be used by others

The current context is creating an increased demand for job search assistance programs and for affordable clothing and household goods. An increase in donations will therefore allow Renaissance to expand its mission and help more people.

This year, the goal is to reach 100,000 donors, a 10% increase over last fall!

“More than an act of generosity, donating is also an ecological gesture, as the goods received are diverted from landfills” says Éric St-Arnaud, Renaissance’s General Manager. “In fact, we estimate that 100,000 donations represent 1.5 million kg worth of goods! ». Mr. St-Arnaud also points out that donating is an accessible act: “We all have clothes we no longer wear, objects we no longer use … This campaign is the occasion to put them to good use by helping us create local employment. »

Taking up the Renaissance challenge

The Renaissance challenge is a friendly competition inviting the population of 29 cities and boroughs of the Greater Montreal area to drop off their donations at one of the organization’s 52 donation centres. Three honorary prizes are awarded at the end of the campaign:

  • The prize for the greatest number of donations collected,
  • The price for the highest number of donations per 1,000 inhabitants,
  • The prize for the largest increase in donations compared to the previous edition.
