On November 14, 1994, Renaissance Québec was born from a shared dream. Guided by the proverb that says giving a fish feeds for a day, but teaching to fish feeds for life, our founders aimed to build an organization that could offer all Quebecers social and professional integration services to fight against poverty and social inequality. This dream also included reducing the waste of still usable goods, giving them a second life. In 30 years, Renaissance has consolidated its expertise in social and professional integration, the collection and reuse of residual materials, and the social and circular economy. We are celebrating three decades of social impact, generosity, and solidarity, transforming lives and building human success stories. This success is the result of an engaged ecosystem, making Renaissance a key player in social inclusion, environmental preservation, and the fight against poverty.

Event

Several celebrations and events have been planned to mark this important milestone. The festivities began today, November 14, 2024. This morning, upon arrival, each team received a message from the General Manager. At lunchtime, every employee, participant, and volunteer received a birthday cake to enjoy a festive moment right at their workstations.

In the evening, as part of a more intimate and friendly event, we gathered the members of the first Board of Directors, along with several distinguished guests, dignitaries, and partners from our early days at the Saint-Laurent thrift store. We would like to particularly thank those who spoke to share their testimony about the impact of Renaissance:

Mrs. Chantal Rouleau, Minister responsible for Social Solidarity and Community Action, and Member of Parliament for Pointe-aux-Trembles

Mr. Andrés Fontecilla, Member of Parliament for Laurier-Dorion

Mr. Marc Picard, General Manager of the Caisse d’Économie Solidaire

Recognition

We are very proud to share these testimonies of recognition.

30 Years of Human Success!

Since our inception, our employment programs have helped 10,000 people return to work or continue their studies! Integrating individuals into the workforce and enabling them to find their place in society is our core mission. The solidarity that unites insertion companies is the key to our collective success. We would especially like to thank Services Québec for their support from the very beginning.
