Launch of the Second Edition of the “Wall of Kindness”
People will forget what you said, they will forget what you did, but they will never forget how you made them feel.-Maya Angelou
Building on the success of its first edition and in response to the current economic situation, Renaissance is doubling the number of Walls of Kindness in Montreal, adding one in Gatineau, and expanding its impact with a gift card component in stores.
On November 13th at 10:30 AM, as part of World Kindness Day, Renaissance kicks off the second edition of the Wall of Kindness, spaces where citizens can come to hang up winter coats.
For two weeks, until November 26, Renaissance will be collecting winter coats to give back a little warmth to people in need. Additionally, customers visiting Renaissance stores during this period can purchase a gift card and drop it in the box at the cash register. Gift cards and coats collected in Montreal will be given to Accueil Bonneau, and those in Gatineau will go to Itinérance Zéro.
Wondering where to hang a coat on one of the four Walls of Kindness in Montreal? The Walls are located at the intersections of Ste-Catherine/Bourbonnière, Iberville/Masson, Bellechasse/Christophe-Colomb, and Clark/St-Viateur.
As for the Wall of Kindness in Gatineau, it is situated in front of the former fire station at 230 Boulevard Saint-René Est.
With the approach of the cold season and in a socio-economic context that affects more and more people, this solidarity and eco-friendly initiative gains even greater significance.
This charitable project unites three non-profit organizations, inviting the public to be generous. Together, let’s make this initiative a collective success and warm the hearts of those in need, one coat at a time.
