17 August student promo in all our second-hand stores: 15% off

Back to school, #JeTripeFripe!

August 17 is National Thrift Store Day! Renaissance is taking this opportunity to promote the benefits of buying second-hand for our planet and our community.

As the new school year approaches, we invite the student community to take advantage of a 15% discount on Thursday, August 17, in all our thrift stores. A valid proof of study must be presented at the checkout to benefit from the discount.

It’s an ecological, economical and irresistible way to buy back-to-school items at a low price, tax-free.

We’ve also adopted the keyword #JeTripeFripe to promote Thrift Store Day on social media. We invite our community to use it to share their thrift store finds with us.

Responsible consumption and socio-professional integration

The fashion industry is one of the most polluting in the world, and we all need to rethink the way we consume. Buying from thrift stores is one way to consume better; it’s part of the “slow fashion” movement, as we extend the life of clothes that are still usable.

Read more about the impact of the fashion industry.

Buying at Renaissance also means consuming locally, since the products you find there are generously donated by the community. It’s also about investing in the community, as revenues generated by the sale of used products are reinvested in social and professional integration programs.

Every year, donations made at Renaissance represent over 24,400 tonnes of goods diverted from landfill (imagine 220 blue whales!) and enable a large number of people to return to the job market.

Together, we give back to society.
