Oumou arrived in Canada with her family in 2022. She says that it was thanks to her brother’s friends that she learned about the integration path that Renaissance offers.
“My brother’s friends, who were already there, told me to go visit Renaissance to see if they can take employees for work. I came to ask at the cash desk and they asked me for my CV I didn’t have one because we had just arrived, I was directed to Emploi Québec and then Renaissance called me back. They explained to me that it was a course that was going to last 6 months. When I will finish the course, I would like to go back to school but I could still work in the weeks and months that follow before the schools open.
